Hardnekkig. Inventief.

Onkruid , Dutch for weed. The plants nobody invited, yet they appear anyway. In the verge of the path, between the paving stones, along the railway bank. Stubborn. Inventive. Surprisingly beautiful.
Centaurea cyanus/Wilde korenbloem / Wild cornflower/ Bleuet sauvage
The wild cornflower, botanically known as Centaurea cyanus, is a graceful plant with bright blue flowers commonly found in cornfields and meadows. The name refers to Chiron, a wise and medicinal centaur from Greek mythology, and the blue colour of the flowers ("cyanus").According to mythology, Chiron was accidentally struck by a poison-tipped arrow from Heracles. The deadly poison caused unbearable pain. Chiron used the cornflower to ease the pain and treat the wound. Although the cornflower provided relief, it could not cure the poisoned wound. Ultimately, Chiron chose to give up his immortality to be freed from his suffering. In an act of compassion, he exchanged his immortality with Prometheus, who was thereby released from his eternal punishment.
